The Red Paintings are one of the most exciting artists to come out of Australia in recent years. This fascinating quintet combines electronic sounds, orchestral instruments, and performance art to create a show that must be seen to be believed.
They’ll be taking their musical circus on the road at the end of the month to appear at Hollywood’s MUSEXPO Showcase. While the group’s away they’ll put the finishing touches on their debut album, The Revolution Is Never Coming. Amazingly the $40, 000 recording has been entirely funded by fan donations. This truly is music created for the people!
This band refuses to be categorised, with tunes including delicate lullabies and ball-tearing rock numbers. Fans of other multifaceted bands like Radiohead, Muse, and Arcade Fire will lap them up.
Definitely one of the best Aussie bands out there. As far as music news goes, the release of this album made my year 🙂
^Agree with Taylor, so excited to finally be able to hear the five-year-long album
