Nikki Webster is giving a musical career another whirl with a brand new single “Devilicious.”
As the name suggests, the song showcases a new sexed-up Nikki. It’s a world away from the kid who wowed us at the Sydney Olympics before earning national scorn with “Strawberry Kisses.”
The track’s certainly got the right amount of pop cred, with Peter Rafelson (Britney Spears, Madonna) and Mike Rizzo (Beyonce) sharing songwriting credits.
It’s an up-tempo slice of electro dance pop with a hot film clip featuring some scantily clad beauties. It’s not all that revolutionary, but it’s the sort of thing that tends to sell these days.
I’ve always felt little bit sorry for Nikki, so I hope Australia accepts this song on its own merits and gives it a chance.
