Lisa Mitchell’s long awaited debut album Wonder will hit stores on July 31. To celebrate its release, Lisa will fulfill a childhood dream and play this year’s Glastonbury festival. Lisa will join international chart toppers Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Crosby Stills and Nash, and Aussie sensations Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Gabriella Cilmi, and Pendulum on the bill of this prestigious British music festival.
“Ever since I was a little girl my ultimate dream has been to play music festivals,” Lisa said in a statement.
“As far as festivals go, it seems to me that Glastonbury is arguably the ultimate and therefore I’ve lately had more trouble than normal convincing myself that I am in fact playing at it and am still very much alive and not in some blissfully deluded wonderland. Or am I?”
Lisa spent last year writing and recording Wonder in the UK with producers Anthony Whiting (Arctic Monkeys, Zero 7, Sia) and artist Ed Harcourt. I can’t wait to hear the result!
