Andy Martin Charms With “I Don’t Wanna Go Out”

Andy Martin has just dropped his fabulous new single “I Don’t Wanna Go Out” It’s an upbeat indie-pop earworm that should strike a chord with anyone who’s felt hibernating at home was the best option!

“I wrote ‘I Don’t Wanna Go Out’ back in February last year. Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, I began getting more and more socially anxious and I wrote this song around that central theme,” Andy recalled. “I’m constantly stuck in my head and when I wrote this, I felt stuck in my house as well (but didn’t know what to do). I feel like some people will be able to relate to this one closely. It’s hooky, fun, and playful, and Aidan [Hogg, producer] and Brock [Weston, mastering] really brought this one to life!”

Fresh from supporting PAIGE and Pacific Avenue, Andy will embark on a quick tour to support the recent release of “I Don’t Wanna Go Out”. All shows are free, so there’s no excuse for staying home in your PJs!

Andy Martin Releases Sweet Love Song, “Toothaches”

Andy Martin’s latest single “Toothaches” is the musical warm hug you need on this Wednesday morning. Its laidback acoustic indie feel and quirky lyrics give it a quintessentially Aussie vibe.

“I wrote Toothaches in mid-2022 after an amazing holiday that my partner Maisy and I went on in Tasmania. I feel like the vocal hook in the chorus and the shimmery guitars and synths throughout really paint a picture of cruising along the Australian coastline,” Andy said. “I hope fans of Ball Park Music and Spacey Jane will really take a liking to this one!”

“Toothaches” is our first taste of a bigger body of music that Andy plans to release next year.

Get to Know Andy Martin’s Musical “Dreamworld”

Christmas was a welcome distraction from those rising COVID case numbers, but like so many people I find myself crashing back to earth. Nervous about my NYE plans and whether I should keep them, I found Andy Martin’s sunny new single “Dreamworld” this morning. And just like that, for just a few minutes all was right with the world.

“On the surface, ‘Dreamworld’ exemplifies a love song about heartbreak… but that couldn’t be further from the truth. All the focal points in the song refer to an angsty, apprehensive 20-something-year-old trying to navigate through his own life,” Andy explained. “It is about trying to rid yourself of anger and to just simply give yourself a break. I know I’m too hard on myself, but Dreamworld is in essence, me trying to “flip the script’.”

I’m not sure why Andy’s music hasn’t been on my radar, but I’m so glad it has now. Excuse me while I listen to his back catalogue and wait patiently for the new music that 2022 will bring!
