San Cisco Announce Politely Awkward Tour

I’ve been humming “Awkward” since I first heard it in December, and it seems I won’t be able to get it out of my head any time soon. Those cute kids from San Cisco will continue their meteoric rise with their Politely Awkward Tour.

This is the band’s first national run of dates, and they’re making the most of the opportunity. The tour takes in all the major capitals and a few choice regional spots. It coincides with the release of the Awkward EP, which hits stores in February 3.

Make sure you arrive early to catch The Jungle Giants supporting the talented teens. Tickets are on sale now from the venues.

Not so Awkward San Cisco

Their latest song might be called “Awkward,” but I’d never use the adjective to describe Fremantle indie rockers San Cisco. This unsigned act sounds much slicker than anyone without the backing of a major label probably should, particularly considering all the members are under 18.

The song is so infectious with its retro pop feel. While its sound takes me back to the early 60s, its themes of teen awkwardness and text communication should speak to today’s youth.

Such talented youngsters scare me a bit. If they’re this good now, how mindblowing will they be once they’ve had the chance to marinate?
