Bec Laughton Says Goodbye to Australia

With killer tunes like “Heartbreak (Number One)” in her repertoire and Grammy Award winner Michael League (Snarky Puppy) in her corner, it was probably just a matter of time before we lost Brisbane girl Bec Laughton to the bright lights of the United States. Bec has offers on the table from producers in New York and Los Angeles, so she’s packing up her stuff and relocating to pursue R & B on the big stage.

Before she does though, Bec will say au revoir with a national tour all around the country. There’s no telling when she’ll be back, so make sure you don’t miss these farewell gigs.

Bec Laughton Tours M & R

In her new single “M & R”, Bec Laughton tells us about the abundance of music and rhythm inside of her. And that’s a good thing too, because she’s going to be gigging relentlessly over the next few months.

She’s got the obligatory promotion for the single and the EP of the same name to take care of, as well as high-profile appearances at Singapore’s Music Matters conference and Brisbane’s R’n’B festival Soulfest. Bec Laughton Serves Up Deliciously Dark Single

Bec Laughton delivers smooth vocals with a lyrical edge with her new single “Gonna Love You.” It sounds so sweet with those angelic vocals and an easy groove, but the song really hits its stride when you start listening to the lyrics.

When Bec sings “I love you so much I want to break both your legs so you can’t walk away from my arms” you know you’re not in for any ordinary love song. It gleefully walks that fine line between intense love and stalking. Brilliant!
