Chris Rose Releases Party Anthem “Cold Beer Buzz”

Is Thursday too early for drinking songs? Maybe. But if your week has been anything like my week, then “Cold Beer Buzz,” the new single from Guruk/Port Macquarie-based country singer Chris Rose is right on time.

Chris is country born and bred, but I love the electronic beats and rock edge he’s brought to this party song. Apparently, it was produced with the vision to create a tune that’s “Billie Eilish Bad Guy, meets AC/DC with a southern country twist.” Mission accomplished!

Chris Rose Releases Strong Single “Keep Me Believing”

The global pandemic and R U OK? Day have put mental health matters firmly in the spotlight. Slowly but surely it feels the stigma is breaking down. Songs like “Keep Me Believing,” by Port Macquarie musician Chris Rose, are helping us feel more comfortable having those hard conversations.

This track talks about grappling with anxiety and negative thoughts, yet pushing through them in pursuit of a better life. You might have heard it on a recent Home & Away commercial, but I prefer listening to it in this context, away from those distractingly perfect people.

Chris hasn’t let the global pandemic slow his creativity. His Facebook page reveals he’s been songwriting over Zoom, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer until we hear more new music from him.

Chris Rose Releases Your Feelgood Friday Soundtrack

For a long while it seemed like pop was a dirty word in Australia, but thanks to the popularity of acts like Five Seconds of Summer and Sheppard, we’re slowly embracing its upbeat sounds. It’s the perfect time for Chris Rose to spread some good vibes with his latest single “Someone Like You.”

This is your classic pop love song, buoyed by the energy of new romance and a clap-along beat. The video is pretty fantastic too, featuring footage of the Twelve Apostles along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road.
