Ella Fence Rocks Out With Double A-Side Single

Ella Fence shows she’s not afraid to take risks with her latest double A-side single, “The Child/I Was Made for Loving You.” We’ve heard her in pop mode with “Pink Mojitos,” seen her softer side with “Known Better,” and now she’s in rock goddess mode. Playing in this genre has been a great way for Ella to cut loose and find her authentic voice.

“Previous recordings I wanted perfect (and I make no apology for that objective), but now I want real. We’re enduring challenging times and people deserve the truth,” she explained. “I was born real not perfect and I wanted that attitude to be recognised in my music.”

“The Child” is an epic rock ballad, dark and haunting with killer vocals. Her slowed-down take on “I Was Made for Loving You” may draw the ire of the KISS Army, but I’m really digging its moody vibe. This new version takes the song from a seductive rock classic to something much more sinister.

Ella Fence will bring her music to punters on the Sunshine Coast when she supports Sofia Isella at the Solbar on March 18.

Ella Fence Casts a Spell With “Known Better”

Ella Fence has to be one of the most exciting female voices in the music scene right now. I’ve been blasting her poppy “Pink Mojitos” since early March and now she’s making me weep with her latest effort “Known Better.” This is such a beautiful ethereal ballad which I just can’t stop listening to. The two tracks are poles apart, but they’re both so special in their own way.

“I wrote this track when I was at a bit of a fork in the road, choosing whether to continue on in one direction, or pivot and create something new,” Ella explained. “I hope this song can be connected to by anyone who is on the precipice of a big decision.”

Since her native Queensland is faring better than most states through this pandemic, Ella has a couple of gigs coming up. Show your support at the following venues.

24 October 2020 – The Zoo, Brisbane (supporting Karise Eden)
28 October 2020 – Vinnie’s Dive, Gold Coast (supporting Eliza & The Delusionals)

Ella Fence & Christian Patey Release Gorgeous New Collab, “About You”

Queensland talents Ella Fence and Christian Patey have joined forces for a stunning new single, “About You.” Ella’s ethereal voice takes centre stage here, but it’s really elevated by Christian’s subtle tones and strong production.

This track follows their previous collaborations, “Aeroplane Mode” and “Waterside.” Like its predecessors, it’s got a cool, fresh sound which crosses genres, yet remains accessible and so inviting. These artists make magic together, and “About You” is no exception.

Raise a Glass to New Material From Ella Fence

It’s Saturday, time to put the stresses of the working week and the woes of the world to the back of our mind and kick up our heels. For many of us, our merry-making might involve a cocktail or two. No judgement! However you’re celebrating, “Pink Mojitos” by Ella Fence goes down just as easy as the beverage it’s named after! Sublime vocals, an infectious groove, and the kind of NSFW lyrics that you can crank up now the office is a distant memory!

“Pink Mojitos” is the opening track from Ella’s new mini-EP All I Do is Think. With just three tracks it shows so many sides of this exciting singer-songwriter. “She’s Looking Pretty” is as poignant and heartbreaking as “Pink Mojitos” is frothy and feelgood. “Japan” rounds out the trio on a sombre, introspective note. It’s beautiful.
