Let Nick Marcus’ “Falling” Capture Your Heart

Sydney singer-songwriter Nick Marcus has me swooning with his latest single “Falling.” It’s a gorgeous track anchored by the guitar, but with some cool electronic beats for freshness. Its lyrics about falling too fast, and too deep are bound to strike a chord with all you hopeless romantics out there.

“I wanted to express the feeling of someone who has fallen in love and the other person doesn’t feel the same way,” he explained. “I hope I expressed this with the acoustic nature of the piece and mellow percussion. I wanted to challenge myself vocally and I feel that this song brings out the emotions of heartbreak and longing for someone.”

“Falling” comes from Nick’s self-titled EP, which will be released on October 18.

Pey Pey and Jëva Leave Me Spellbound With “Falling”

It’s pretty rare to hear music that sounds like nothing else. But that’s just what you get with “Falling,” the new collaborative single from Western Australian musicians Pey Pey and Jëva.

The pair met while studying at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and quickly formed the kind of friendship where no topic is off limits. Their dreamy single was inspired by their conversations about the big issues like hopelessness, uncertainty, and the pressure of what lies ahead.

I love the single version, but there’s also an amazing acoustic version on Spotify. “Falling” is the first single from Pey Pey’s debut album, the self, the you, the fall, set for release in early 2019. It’s also a teaser of what you’ll hear on Jëva’s debut mini album Typhoon, out later this year.

Candice Alley Falling Again

I thought Candice Alley had given up the music to stand beside husband Grant Hackett. But it seems she hasn’t turned her back on the tunes altogether, or at least not the one that made her famous.

Her debut single “Falling” has been remixed for a limited edition four-track CD single. Personally I’m not sure the romantic ballad really needed a dance makeover, but the American club market seems keen for it. The disc features four remixes of the song by Swedish producers The Attic.

“Falling” will be available in the United States through boutique label ProMotion and on iTunes. There’s no word yet on a local release, but I’ll keep you posted!
