Melbourne band Mylk put themselves firmly on my radar with their last single “Not My Fault.” I’m thrilled to hear the follow-up “Holy Moly” is every bit as good, if not better. That killer bassline and lead singer Nathaniel Peacock’s vocals are really working for me.
“Holy Moly was inspired by a really negative experience we had with someone who told us that they could ensure that we “made it” in the music industry. We were younger and naive, and thankfully escaped this situation relatively unscathed,” says Mylk.
“Holy Moly” is one of five tracks on Mylk’s forthcoming EP Excursion. Hopefully, with Melbourne COVID numbers dropping, it won’t be too long before the band can get out there and entertain crowds really soon. Until then, the band is philosophical about the upcoming release.
“It seems so strange to be releasing our debut EP and having to watch the reaction through a computer screen, but even though there is this disconnection, the support we have seen so far has almost made us forget that we’re playing gigs from our couches and broadcasting it through a phone,” they said.
