Max C Bud Shows His “Relevance”

Sydney singer-songwriter Max C Bud wears his influences on his sleeve with his new song “Relevance.” Max says he grew up listening to acts like Neil Finn, Alex Lloyd, and Bernard Fanning, and I can certainly hear elements of their sound and approach to songwriting creeping through. It’s that songwriting that really speaks to me.

“I wanted to capture the sense of gratitude I was feeling after looking back at the person I had become after going through some difficult times,” Max explained. “I’d love it if this song could connect with someone who has been down and out, but persevered through the hardships of what life can throw at you”.

It’s not always the songs that scream the loudest that make the most impact. “Relevance” is one of those tracks that stays with you long after its final note.

Max C Bud Releases Cool New Single “I Guess it has to Be That Way”

Sydney-based urban act Max C Bud shows he only gets better with age with the release of his sophomore single, “I Guess It Has to Be That Way.” Personally I prefer the extra lyrical edge and melodic core this song has over Max’s debut single “Temptress.” Once again the track sees him collaborating with Sam Croft of Boo Seeka, who is helping him push himself and develop as an artist.

“IGIHTBTW is my most boundary pushing track to date,” Max explained. “Sam and I wanted to use a range in my vocals that I hadn’t explored before, and the result is a cruisy melody that is a lot of fun to sing, and hopefully gets people moving along.”

“I Guess It Has to Be That Way” is available at all your favourite digital outlets now.

Max C Bud Delivers First Solo Single, “Temptress”

After 20 years spent collaborating with other artists, Sydney’s Max C Bud has gone solo. His debut single “Temptress” has an effortless cool about it, with thoughtful lyrics and vocals that sit right in the sweet spot.

“I wrote Temptress during a confronting time in my life. It’s about dealing with an issue head-on and being honest with someone about a troubled relationship that couldn’t be changed,” Max explained.

Of course, even solo artists don’t work in a vacuum. Max credit Sam Croft of Boo Seeka with helping him find the right sound.

“Music has always been my personal creative outlet, but working with Croft on this track, allowed me to interpret my music in a new way,” he said.

“Temptress” is available from all your favourite digital stores now.
