Upper Coomera State College Wins Kate Miller-Heidke Competition

You might remember me mentioning Kate Miller-Heidke’s “Caught in the Crowd” competition, which invited high school students to create their own music video.

The entries are in, and Upper  Coomera State College in Queensland has emerged victorious. Their brilliant video highlights not just traditional bullying, but also the modern epidemic of cyberbullying. Check it out below!

The school has picked up a $2000 video hardware package and a live performance from Kate Miller-Heidke for their hard work.

If you’re not lucky enough to be a student, you can still see Kate as she embarks on her Caught in the Crowd tour. It kicks off at Melbourne’s Prince in Wales on April 30.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s "Someday Soon" Music Video Revealed

Here’s your first look at the new film clip from Natalie Bassingthwaighte! Nat cowrote her new single “Someday Soon” with Alex Smith and Paul Barry, the man behind Cher’s dancefloor smash “Believe.” Can this song be just as big? We’ll have to see when the song hits stores on January 10! That’s one month before Natalie’s solo album 1000 Stars is on shelves.

Keep your eye out in the music video for Natalie’s nephew, Logan Sheldrick. The nine-year-old plays a child actor in the clip. It must be pretty cool to have an aunty like Natalie Bassingthwaighte!

Be in Kisschasy’s New Video!

You’ll have to put your skates on for this one kids, but if you’re a Kisschasy fan living in Melbourne you could appear in their next music video. The shoot is taking place tomorrow, that’s Thursday January 10, at Fairfield Park.

The sessions take place at 3 pm until 8 pm, and 8 pm until 11 pm. You’ll need to see Killian at the kiosk when you get there. You should wear something appropriate for a folk festival, and sunscreen and a hat because it’s going to be a scorcher. You should also bring a blanket to sit on, and plenty of water to drink.

Have fun!
