Jess Origliasso Contemplates PETA Ad

After that unfortunate porn scandal last year, you’d think Jess Origliasso would have resolved to keep her clothes on in 2009. But it seems she might be stripping again this year. It’s all for a good cause though, with the Veronicas twin in negotiations with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Apparently the animal rights group spotted the popette sporting a faux fur jacket, emblazoned with the hand drawn message “F— Fur.” I’m sure Miss Origliasso’s wasn’t so censored though! The popstar and her sister Lisa also spoke up against the practices of a Chinese fur farm.

“Lisa and I support any foundation that is willing to educate and make a stand for animal liberation,” Jess told The Daily Telegraph.

“Death for these animals is a horror story – the most common method used for killing foxes is electrocution. I can’t speak for Lisa, but I admire the approach to the eye-catching photo shoots PETA do to get the important message out there. I would definitely love to be involved in something like that.”

If Jess does pose for PETA she’ll join other notable Aussie musicians including Natalie Imbruglia, Missy Higgins, and Something for Kate.

Natalie Imbruglia Stars in PETA Anti-Fur Ad

Natalie Imbruglia is the latest star to pose in a provocative new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The Australian singer and actor took time out from her busy schedule to highlight the still common use of fur in the fashion industry.

“There is no kind way to rip the skin off animals’ backs,” the passionate Aussie said. “Anyone who wears any fur shares the blame for the torture and gruesome deaths of millions of animals each year.”

How true! And with so many gorgeous animal-friendly fashions on the market, why would you dress yourself in anything else?

Sophie Monk Exposed For PETA

Ex-Bardot poppette Sophie Monk has bared all for a spicy new ad campaign. The advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) encourages people to become vegetarians.

I’m not quite sure whether the image of a naked Sophie on a bed of chilli peppers will persuade people to give up their steak, but it’s worth a shot. You can check out the sexy ad here.

Sophie practices what she preaches. She’s been a vegetarian since she was a teenager, and said the decision is good for her, and animals.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that going vegetarian has made me feel better not only physically but also because I learned about the suffering of animals who are raised and killed for food,” Monk said.

“I feel good knowing that I’m not contributing to that.”

Sophie’s fiancé, Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden is also a vegetarian, which must make it a lot easier at mealtimes!
