Rose Tattoo & The Hard-Ons Team Up For “Still Never Too Loud” Tour

Some rock acts mellow and start playing acoustic shows, but not Rose Tattoo. 22 years after the release of Never Too Loud, the legendary Aussie act are preparing to hit the road on their defiantly titled “Still Never Too Loud” tour.

The tour’s title isn’t just lip service. Next month Rose Tattoo will join bands like Extreme, Skid Row, and Queensryche sailing out on Miami on the Monsters of Rock Cruise. They’ll lay down some new track in the studio in March, then hit stages on this tour. There really is no slowing down Angry Anderson and his mates!

They’ll be in good company, with rock stalwarts The Hard-Ons joining Rose Tattoo at all shows. Rest assured, these gigs will be loud! Tickets are on sale now.

Forgotten Rose Tattoo Album May Be Released

It looks like the wishes of all Rose Tattoo fans may soon be granted. Plans are afoot to release the album they recorded in 1980.

Rose Tattoo completed the album in Los Angeles after Bad Boy for Love. The record company was never happy with it, so the band went back into the studio and made Assault and Battery. For the last 28 years it’s been filed away, but now Aztec Records founder Gil Matthews is planning on releasing this rare recording.

The prospect is of special interest to Aussie rock lovers, as it features the talents of the late Billy Thorpe and Lobby Loyde. So who cares whether it impressed the record execs? We’re all going to want to give it a listen anyway!

Celebrate Aussie Rock in WA

Some of Australia’s hardest rockers will hit Perth later this month for the Aussie Rock Celebration Concert.

Line-ups don’t come much better than this, with Rose Tattoo, The Screaming Jets, Noiseworks, and The Party Boys heading up the bill. But that’s not all, with former AC/DC members Dave and Marck Evans, Kevin Borich, Buzz Bidstrup (The Angels), Paul Christie (Mondo Rock), and Dave Tice (Buffalo) all slated to appear.

And it’s only fitting on such an occasion that a statue honoring the late AC/DC frontman Bon Scott will also be unveiled on the day.

The Aussie Rock Celebration Concert will hit Claremont Showgrounds on February 24. Tickets are available from Moshtix. Adult tickets are $77 while under 18s can go for the bargain price of just $25.
