Sally Seltmann Hopes New Song will Make You Happy

Sally Seltmann isn’t looking to change the world or even your thinking with her music these days. Her sweet new single “We Are the Music” simply wants to brighten your day.

“It’s where my head’s at right now” she explained. “I just want to make music that makes people happy.”

This is Sally’s first release since last year’s acclaimed album Hey Daydreamer. I love the direction Sally’s taken here. The lyrics are romantic without being corny, and the driving dance beat inspires me to cut loose in my lounge room. I can’t wait to hear more music like this from her.

No Second Single Syndrome for Bree de Rome

What do you get if you cross sixties soul with country vibes? “I Expected More” the stellar second single from Bree de Rome’s debut EP Bag of Bones.

I remember enjoying Bree’s spirit with her first single “Better Luck,” but feeling her songwriting skills needed work. So it’s great to see her honing her craft with this number co-written by the incomparable Sally Seltmann. If Bree keeps learning from such talented industry folks, the sky’s the limit for this endearing songstress.

Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann, & Holly Throsby Album One Step Closer

It’s only March, but I’m already predicting that the three-way collaboration between Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann, and Holly Throsby is going to be one of the real gems released this year. With three of our greatest singer-songwriters involved, female or otherwise, how could it go wrong?

Sarah writes on her blog that the album, which was recorded last August, has finally been mastered. So it’s only a matter of time before we get to hear it. The record was laid down in just ten days, so I’m expecting a really spontaneous feel and the sort of genius that comes out when such talent just flows.

She adds that we’ll “hopefully get to hear” it “very soon,” although I’ve got to admit that it can’t come soon enough! I’m already fantasising about that triple-bill tour!
