Taking Back Sunday and Meshuggah Announce Soundwave Sideshows

If you missed out on Soundwave tickets, or you’re just keen for another go round, you can catch some of the big name bands at some newly announced sideshows.

Taking Back Sunday
will play Melbourne’s Billboard on February 23, before heading to The Metro in Sydney on February 25. Enter Shikari will warm up the crowds on both nights.

Meshuggah will also play the two major capitals in addition to their Soundwave shows. Along with Dies Today and Whittechapel, they’ll play Sydney’s Manning Bar on February 22 before getting to Billboard on February 25.

Tickets are available for both shows from the venues.

Faith No More Headline Soundwave 2010

Metal funk heroes Faith No More will headline next year’s Soundwave festival.

They’ll share the bill with Jane’s Addiction, who will make good on their promise to return to Oz after cancelling their Splendour slot due to illness. These perennial favourites will join a jam-packed line-up which includes My Chemical Romance, Paramore, AFI, Eagles of Death Metal, Reel Big Fish, A Wilhelm Scream, and heaps more.

Soundwave will kick off in Brisbane before travelling to capital cities around the country. Information on early bird tickets for Soundwave 2010 will be released shortly, so keep an eye on the Soundwave website for details as they come to hand.

20 February 2010 – RNA Showground, Brisbane
21 February 2010 – Eastern Creek Raceway, Sydney
26 February 2010 – Showgrounds, Melbourne
27 February 2010 – Bonython Park, Adelaide

Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, and More for Soundwave

Soundwave is returning to Australia next year with one of the best rock line ups I’ve seen. The festival will be headed up by Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, and The Bloodhound Gang.

Music lovers can also look forward to seeing Lamb of God, Alkaline Trio, Billy Talent, Funeral for a Friend, Less than Jake, and heaps more.

Soundwave kicks off in Brisbane before heading all the way around the country. Get a jump on the competition by signing up to the website for their presale. These tickets will go on sale at different dates, which should ensure the sites don’t fall over as they have for festivals in the past!
