Split Seconds Tour Debut Album

Split Seconds have been steadily building buzz over the last couple of years. No doubt those fans they’ve collected along the way will be ecstatic that their debut album You’ll Turn Into Me will finally hit stores tomorrow.

The album release comes at a busy time for Split Seconds. They recently made the big move from their native Perth to the musical hub of inner city Melbourne. They also just released a new single “Top Floor,” which is already enjoying plenty of airplay.

So why not add more chaos to the mix? Split Seconds will stay busy with a quickie tour this month and the next. See them launching You’ll Turn Into Me at the following shows:

25 August 2012 – Amplifier, Perth
31 August 2012 – The Standard, Sydney
8 September 2012 – Ding Dong, Melbourne

Split Seconds Announce “Top Floor” Tour

After a big 2011, which saw them releasing a self-titled EP and taking three national tours, Split Seconds are ready for the next chapter. They’ll start that part of the story soon with the release of a new single “Top Floor” and an Aussie tour supporting it.

“Top Floor” is a handclapping, melodic pop gem, and our first taste of Split Seconds’ debut album. The song drops on April 18, which will give fans plenty of time to learn the words before the tour commences.

This is no ordinary run of dates either. With Sydney psychedelic popsters Underlights sharing top billing, the shows should be real parties! Tickets go on sale tomorrow from the venues and usual outlets.

10 May 2012 – Northcote Social Club, Northcote
12 May 2012 – Karova Lounge, Ballarat
18 May 2012 – X&Y Bar, Fortitude Valley
19 May 2012 – Sol Bar, Maroochydore
24 May 2012 – Good God Bar, Sydney
25 May 2012 – The Beresford, Surry Hills

Split Seconds Tours Western Australia

Split Seconds, the latest outfit for Perth singer-songwriter Sean Pollard, is preparing for the release of their debut EP with a swag of headlining gigs and festival appearances around their home state.

The EP was recorded in Perth with producers Steve Bond (The Panics, Snowman, The Bank Holidays) and Benjamin Golby, before Aussie expat Aaron Cupples (The Drones, Dan Kelly) added the finishing touches in London. It should get a release next year, but we get a taste of it with the debut single “Bed Down.”

If you’re not in Western Australia don’t worry. A national tour is in the works, so the rest of Australia will be able to see this exciting new band soon.

17 September 2010 – The Norfolk Basement, Fremantle (with Red Jezebel and Emperors)
18 September 2010 – Amplifier Bar, Perth (with Red Jezebel and Emperors)
25 & 26 September 2010 – Wave Rock Weekender Festival, Hyden
