In 1992, the fictional tale of an Irish soul band called The Commitments took the film and music industries by storm. Now 21 years later, The Commitments’ frontman Andrew Strong will head to Australia to celebrate the milestone with a series of anniversary shows.
Andrew has warmed up with sold out arena shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland, so he’ll be ready and raring to go when he hits Australia in August. A tight eight-piece band will help Andrew perform “Mustang Sally”, “Try a Little Tenderness” , “In the Midnight Hour”, and all the songs that made the movie, and the era it was set in, so great.
