With Confidence Break Hearts With “Waterfall”

Sydney’s With Confidence know how to pump out a big punk-rock belter, but I think I like them best when they’re showing a softer side. They won me over with “Long Night” earlier this year, and now I’m just as taken by their latest single “Waterfall.” The verses are delicate while the chorus is heartbreakingly epic, a desperate plea for lost love.

“Our video for ‘Waterfall’ is an exploration of technology’s effect on the modern relationship,” vocalist and bassist Jayden Seeley stated. “We live in a world where instant-gratification has devalued honest human interaction. This video is a look into a likely future where we find ourselves more distanced than ever.”

“Waterfall” comes from With Confidence’s most recent album Better Weather, which is available through iTunes, Spotify, and With Confidence’s online store. The band is currently wowing U.S. crowds supporting Knuckle Puck. Catch them at the following venues.

With Confidence Release Beautiful Ballad “Long Night”

Sydney pop-punk act With Confidence showcase a softer side with the release of new single “Long Night.” It’s a beautiful piano ballad that really tugs at the heartstrings.

“We filmed this video spontaneously in LA whilst staying at our A&R rep’s house,” said lead vocalist Jayden Seeley. “He saw me playing the song on his old upright piano and knew we needed to film it. This song is a pretty sentimental one, and I’m excited to see people connect with it in the same way.”

“Long Night” comes from With Confidence’s latest album Better Weather, which also features the singles “Voldemort,” “Keeper,” and “We’ll Be Okay.” The band is currently treating fans around the globe to their live show. Hopefully we’ll see them back in Oz really soon. Until then, international fans can catch them at the following gigs.

With Confidence Play for the Kids

Sydney alternative rock band With Confidence are hitting the road for a kid-friendly tour. I’ve got to admire this band for knowing their market and happily making every single show appropriate for under 18s.

The gigs will promote the band’s brand new EP Distance, which features the epic single “Take Me Away.” It’s done amazing things for the band, reaching number 10 on the overall iTunes charts and number two on the alternative charts.

“Honestly, fans always surprise us with their support and we didn’t expect to push that high in the charts,” admitted lead vocalist and bassist Jayden Seeley. “We’re forever grateful for everyone that lends us their ears and supports our music”.

With Confidence sold out their last headlining tour in April 2013, so expect a very vocal crowd at the following shows.

7 February 2015 – The Lair, Sydney (ALL AGES)
8 February 2015 – Hombre Records, Newcastle (ALL AGES)
14 February 2015 – 38 Berwick St, Brisbane (UNDER 18s)
15 February 2015 – YMCA HQ, Perth (ALL AGES)

Aussie Acts Unite for Hoodie Weather Shows

Some of Australia’s most exciting up and coming acts will join forces this July for the Hoodie Weather tour. The all ages shows will feature sets from The Never Ever, Nine Sons of Dan, A Sleepless Melody, Way with Words, and With Confidence.

After successful shows in New York City to support their new EP Ghosts and Ghouls, Sydney’s The Never Ever are keen to get back in front of local audiences.  No doubt Melbourne’s A Sleepless Melody will be just as keen, as they’ve spent a quiet few months writing new material. After supporting the likes of Yellowcard, Simple Plan, and Good Charlotte in the last 12 months, Gold Coast’s Nine Sons of Dan are in fine form. Way with Words and With Confidence are newer names on the scene, but they’re also bound to impressions with their indie pop sounds.

The fun kicks off in Sydney on July 5 before traveling to major capital cities around the country. Tickets are on sale now through Oztix.

5 July 2013 – The Brewhouse, Sydney,
7 July 2013 – Studio 454, Brisbane
11 July 2013 – HQ, Perth (Nine Sons Of Dan and With Confidence not appearing)
12 July 2013 – Fowlers Live, Adelaide
14 July 2013 – Wrangler Studios, Melbourne
