Zachary Leo Releases Funky New Single, “On My Mind”

Naarm/Melbourne artist Zachary Leo has brought the funk with his latest single, “On My Mind.” Turn this one up and get your groove on. The bass line is absolute fire.

“‘On My Mind’ is about trying to reach out to someone close to you to tell them something is wrong but struggling to find the words to explain how you are feeling,” Zachary explained. “The song’s meaning is backed by an upbeat disco/pop-style groove that contradicts the lyrical theme. It kind of represents how I go about my day-to-day life; inside, I am struggling, and on the outside, I am full of beans and ready to take on the day.”

“On My Mind” comes from Zachary’s forthcoming EP, which drops on June 14. He’ll celebrate its release with a launch show at The Bergy Bandroom in Naarm/Melbourne on July 27.

Zachary Leo Gets Me Grooving With “Time After Time”

A little funk never goes astray on a Sunday morning, right? If you’re still coming down from the night before, you’ll appreciate the smooth vibes of “Time After Time,” the latest track from Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Zachary Leo. It sounds every bit as cool as he looks!

“‘Time After Time’ is a song about a conflict that has arisen between two people in a relationship, when one person isn’t being the best version of themselves,” Zachary explained. “The song is sung from that person’s perspective as they try to piece together what has caused these problems and how they can make amends. The song constantly shifts between external and internal dialogue and is a mirror into overthinking and overanalysing situations.”

Zachary will perform a couple of shows for hometown fans in the coming months to support his release. You know you’ll have a good time at one of the following gigs:

4 November 2023 – Northcote Social Club, Naarm/Melbourne (supporting Great Gable)
8 December 2023 – The Gasometer, Naarm/Melbourne

“Can’t Get Enough” of Zachary Leo’s New Single

Melbourne artist Zachary Leo is adding a little funk to your morning with his ultra-cool new single “Can’t Get Enough”. With that groovy bassline, airy synths, and Zachary’s effortless vocals, I can’t get enough of this song!

“The song speaks about being addicted to something that isn’t good for you and constantly wanting to distance yourself from reality, something that I found myself doing a lot over the past few years,” Zachary admitted. “A lot of my music tends to relate to what is going on inside my head, whether that be happy feelings or feelings of sadness. There are also frequent links to mental health which is something I feel very passionate about sharing with the world, so that hopefully others can feel they aren’t alone in their struggles.”

Zachary will officially launch the single for hometown fans at Cherry Bar on June 10. If this song is any indication, it’s going to a fun night!
